How to fix anything

Page not found 404

Internet Explorer displays page not found 404

This does not necessarily mean there is a problem with your computer.

1. Check cables
2. Restart all modems and routers
When restarting always switch them back on starting with the one nearest your phone or cable socket in the wall.
3. Check the modem and router light are correct
If you have and ADSL or DSL light this should be constantly lit not flashing.
If it is flashing try restarting again, then phone your provider if it still flashes
4. If the above are ok, try restarting your computer
5. Check Network Connections.
This is found in the Control Panel
The Local Area Connection, Wireless Connection or Modem Connection should be connected.

Local Area Connection
Right click disable

Right Click Enable

Try Internet Explorer

Wireless Connection
Right click disable
wait 30 secs
Right Click Enable
wait 30 secs
Check ICON bottom right to see if it connects
Try Internet Explorer

Modem Connection
Right click --> Connect
Dial or Connect
Try Internet Explorer
