Cannot delete files Windows

Sometimes files cannot be delete due to ownership or permissions

If you get a message saying cannot delete files due to H-Identity
and cannot change permissions and ownership, here is a way of deleting the files

First I usually rename the folder I want to delete

Now in Control Panel --> Users
Create a New User called "Fred", "DeleteMe" or whatever name you are never likely to use

Log on or switch to that user

In My Computer display Hidden Files
tools --> Folder Options --> View

Now move the folder you want to delete into a folder under the new user
e.g. c:\Documents and settings\fred\Desktop

Log Off from the New User Account
Log Back into your user
Now in Control Panel --> Users

Delete the user and select the option to delete files

All Done
