Outlook 2007 Data File Check in Progress When you open Outlook 2007 some cogs appear in the bottom right hand corner of the screen with a hint detailing "datafile check in progress" This seems to display all the time. FIX 1 Do a search for the SCANPST tool which repairs your outlook file Run Scanpst.exe select backup file first if errors are found !!!!DO NOT USE OUTLOOK DURING THE REPAIR" FIX 2 Apply all windows updates:- 1. Start Internet Explorer 2. Click Tools --> Windows Updates If you cannot see tools tap the ALT key on your keyboard and the menu bar appears 3. Express 4. Review Updates 5.
